Job Description: Respiratory Therapist Hosp I Provides respiratory care to patients in varying states of health and illness by assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the respiratory plan of care. The Respiratory Therapist functions as an essential member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing direct patient care, instruction and preparation for continuing care after discharge. Minimum Education Graduate of an Associate Degree Level CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy. Minimum Work Experience Prior experience, preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current VT State license. Certification in BLS. Certification in ACLS and PALS Registry eligible and must be registered with 12 months of starting work. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of respiratory care assessment and mechanical ventilation management. Able to use a syringe pump/flo-land. Ability to administer surfactants to newborns. Working knowledge of respiratory equipment and the use of Heliox. Completion of clinical competency for endotracheal intubation and other required competencies. Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills. Able to be on-call and work off-shifts (nights, weekend and holidays) and potentially cover shifts on short notice.

Job Description: CT Technologist Under the supervision of a radiologist, and direction of the Lead CT Tech, this position competently performs imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner. Responsible for scanning and imaging protocols. Must have the ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy, performs CTA's and inject contrast media where applicable. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results. Minimum Education High School Graduate or equivalent Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program Minimum Work Experience Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience Required Licenses/Certifications Must possess current Vt. state RT license CPR Certified Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period, for re-certification and licensure CT certified by ARRT or obtaining (must obtain within one year of employment) Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. The Level II Therapist provides and oversees delivery of patient care for a minimum of two ICU populations and all patients requiring respiratory care on the general floors, including adult, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients. The Therapist must be able to physically respond quickly to any emergent situation and be able to endure repetitive physical movement. This position requires the ability to remain standing for the majority of the shift and serves patients over a wide variety of areas. The Level II therapist is expected to take Charge regularly.   Education: Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
