Is a leader and active participant with performance improvement. • Provides leadership and direction for clear concise documentation of patient progress and to monitor staff compliance with documentation guidelines, rules and regulations. • Maintains current knowledge of rules and regulations that govern the practice of physical therapy and orients staff and managers on changes. • Promotes excellence in patient relations, giving the utmost to caring and compassionate treatment of those referred to our care. • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to manager in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors. • Performs other related duties as required. Job Description: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor – Clinical Chemistry Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Health Sciences The University of Delaware Newark, Delaware   We are seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Clinical Chemistry to begin Fall 2017. The successful candidate will have an earned doctoral degree, such as a Ph.D. in clinical chemistry or related biomedical science, relevant postdoctoral experience and documented productivity. Primary responsibilities for this position include teaching clinical chemistry courses, lecture and lab. Other teaching responsibilities include courses as needed in departmental undergraduate and/or graduate core curricula. The individual will be expected to develop and maintain an active, funded program of research, and participate in committee service within the university and profession. Active participation in the mentoring of undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. students is required. We seek a candidate who will complement our current strengths in research and teaching. Undergraduate teaching experience, especially in Clinical Chemistry, is desirable. Job Description: Physician - Wound Care & Diabetes Management (PT) Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Supervising Physician Location: Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Hours: 16 hours a week, variable between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday Requirements:   Licensed and authorized to practice medicine in the State of Delaware • Certified in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPN) or the American Conjoint Committee of Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine (AOCUHM); or has successfully completed a minimum 40 hour in-person accredited training program such as one approved by the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine or the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and has satisfied all the applicable CMS Local Coverage Determination (LCD) requirements. • ACLS trained and certified. • Special interest in Wound Care/Wound Healing Responsibilities Overview:  Provides “direct supervision” for all HBOT treatments. This requires the physician to be present and on the premises of the location and immediately available to furnish assistance and direction throughout the performance of the procedure. The physician will be present in the HBOT center during the ascent and descent portions of HBO treatment, and will be able to achieve a maximum response time of five minutes to the chamber when not present in the HBO center. • Evaluates patients for appropriate indications for HBOT and for patient ability to undergo HBOT. • Establishes HBOT plan of care. Evaluates patient response to treatment and adjusts plan of care accordingly. • Evaluates and treats patients in the wound center for wound, ostomy, and skin care problems. Develops a comprehensive plan of care and performs appropriate wound care treatments. Evaluates patient progress toward desired outcomes. Content expert for bereavement; provides education component to Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy team. Partners with the psychosocial professionals on the Palliative Care team. Works with Nemours Fund for Children’s Health for ongoing fundraising to provide continued funds for the position and camp. Other memorial activities throughout the hospital, such as the Remembrance Service. Work Schedule Schedule is flexible – only 20 hours/week. Monday-Friday not mandatory. A minimum of 2 days/week are late afternoon/early evenings. Is on an on-call rotation for weekend and holiday bereavements at the hospital, approximately 5-6 times/year. On-call is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on scheduled weekends and holidays. Reporting Position dual-reports to Child Life Clinical Manager and Chief of Palliative Medicine. Requirements Graduate of educational program for respiratory care accredited by an AARC-recognized agency. Minimum of an Associate’s degree in respiratory science, health/physical sciences or equivalent with coursework in chemistry, anatomy, physiology, physics, algebra and microbiology is required. Bachelor of Science preferred. Minimum of six (6) months in a critical care setting. Licenses, Registrations or Certifications Successful completion of the CRT examination administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and/or active certification by the NBRC is required within one (1) year after employment. Active Delaware license is required. Active registry by the NBRC and/or successful completion of the RRT examination administered by the NBRC is preferred. Active Basic Life Support certification is required within six (6) months after employment. Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support is preferred.
