Want to make a difference in the lives of our seniors, MR/DD individuals and their families? Love helping people but don’t want to go back to school? Visit ADVANCE Healthcare Jobs today and check out all the residential counselor jobs currently available.

Residential counselors are essential to the education, instruction and well-being of their patients. While working in a facility, residential counselors not only teach daily living skills, but they also provide individual living and group counseling to clients. They are responsible for promoting community integration to the elderly or individuals with developmental disabilities, and are generally charged with the well-being of these individuals in their care.

Residential counselor positions do not always require an advanced degree, which makes them perfect for transitioning into the healthcare field: they offer valuable experience without requiring specialized training. These positions are also great part-time jobs, and can offer you the freedom of a flexible schedule. Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalency, although preference is given to candidates with an associate degree, a Bachelor’s in Arts or Sciences or some college credit. Residential counselor jobs demand teamwork skills and, when applicable, a willingness to work with MR/DD and geriatric populations. In addition, most positions require a valid driver’s license.

Check out these residential counselor positions, along with other opportunities you may not even be aware of on the ADVANCE Healthcare Jobs website!
