Registered occupational therapists treat a broad patient population, helping them to complete fundamental activities like bathing, dressing, eating and more, on their own. From children with cerebral palsy to elderly patients with Alzheimer’s, registered occupational therapist jobs are essential in helping patients to achieve functional independence. Sound like the career path for you? Read on to find out more about registered occupational therapist jobs!

To qualify for OTR jobs, you will need at least a master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program. A master’s degree will take 2 years in addition to a 4-year bachelor’s degree, although some schools offer dual degree programs in which students may earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in 5 years.

As an OTR, you will observe and assess patients in order to develop a treatment plan that addresses their functional issues. You may employ a variety of treatment methods, including exercise to help strengthen muscles, teaching patients energy conservation techniques, training patients to use adaptive equipment and more.

If you have the qualifications to fill an OTR position, start searching for registered occupational therapist jobs today at ADVANCE Healthcare Jobs. Want to find out more about OTR jobs?
