Job Description:  Chief Operating Officer   Criterion Child Enrichment is conducting a search for a Chief Operating Officer. Founded in 1985 as a not-for-profit organization, Criterion has served families for over 30 years and is a leading provider of early childhood education and early intervention services. Each year the agency serves over 7000 families through a program network that extends throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for implementation of Criterion’s Mission and Strategic Plans and will supervise a Divisional Director who is responsible for the day to day operation of programs and services. Criterion’s corporate office is located within a 40 minute drive of downtown Boston.   This recruitment is specifically focused on identifying an individual with the capacity to enhance and expand the agency’s participation in professional education and design of science-based treatment models in the fields of early childhood education, early intervention and family-centered service delivery. Applicants must possess an advanced degree in a discipline relevant to the agency mission and substantial experience managing human service delivery systems. Healthcare president careers are among the most difficult jobs in the medical field. In this position, professionals are the head of a healthcare organization, acting as moral leaders and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the facility.

Depending on the organization of the facility’s management team, healthcare presidents may either report to the CEO or can be the CEO. The president is responsible for setting goals and developing strategic plans to guide the organization. He evaluates the success of the facility, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.

Nearly all professionals in president healthcare jobs have a medical background. A masters in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing or related field is required, plus significant experience. Most medical facilities require 8 or more years before candidates qualify for president healthcare jobs, but many presidents and CEOs have at least 15 years of experience before taking on this role.
