When a hospital or clinic needs an LPN or RN, they often go to nurse recruiters for help in filling the position. Nurse recruiters are responsible for matching qualified candidates to a healthcare facility. Their goal is to find top talent before rival hospitals and clinics do.

Once a nurse finds a batch of candidates, she is responsible for checking their credentials, which includes verifying all educational and licensing information, and may also involve a standard background check.
