The qualified candidate will assist and support the skilled nursing and personal care staff working in collaboration with our nursing and interdisciplinary teams. The educator will put our nursing philosophy into practice by planning, implementing and evaluating our educational programming in order to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of Paul’s Run staff. The Nurse Educator will provide expertise in clinical nursing skills and knowledge application. This position coordinates learning experiences such as annual in-service trainings, orientation, and nursing competencies. Must be knowledgeable of Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations for Skilled Nursing and Personal Care, as well as the ability to assist with QAPI initiatives and antibiotic stewardship programs.  This is a very exciting opportunity to join a team committed to world class performance and providing quality of life and quality of care to our residents. The candidate will possess a BSN and MSN or matriculation toward MSN; 3-5 years’ experience supervising or working within a staff development program.   Must be able to commit to a flexible schedule to meet the needs of staff education on all shifts. When a hospital or clinic needs an LPN or RN, they often go to nurse recruiters for help in filling the position. Nurse recruiters are responsible for matching qualified candidates to a healthcare facility. Their goal is to find top talent before rival hospitals and clinics do.

Once a nurse finds a batch of candidates, she is responsible for checking their credentials, which includes verifying all educational and licensing information, and may also involve a standard background check. Depending on the institution a nurse recruiter works for, she may have the added duty of interviewing and hiring candidates. Some facilities prefer to complete this process themselves, and others may want to do it in conjunction with the recruiter. It depends on the hiring facility’s desires.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects a faster than average growth rate of 21% for recruiter positions by 2020. Because of the ever-growing demand for nurses, nurse recruiter jobs will likely experience an even higher growth rate.  

Nurse recruiter jobs are usually with a private company that works with many healthcare facilities, although some are with specific institutions. Often, nurse recruiters are RNs or NPs. This first-hand experience in nursing gives the recruiter added expertise in choosing a great nurse.
