Job Description: Clinical Lab Technologist III Munroe Regional Medical Center Ocala, Florida   Munroe Regional Medical Center, located in Ocala, Florida, is Marion County's Most Preferred Hospital for Overall Quality & Image and Best Doctors & Nurses for eleven consecutive years and a leader in cutting-edge medical care.   This position contributes to the mission of the Medical Center and the goals of the department by performing accurate and timely testing of body fluid specimens, under the supervision of a qualified supervisor in those areas for which he/she is licensed by the State of Florida, Agency for Healthcare Administration, and Board of Clinical Laboratory personnel.   QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology is preferred but may substitute the degree with current Florida State licensure. Licensure/Certifications: Florida State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist under the provisions of Chapter 483. This laboratory requires licensure in 3 of the specialties of Microbiology, Serology/Immunology, Chemistry or Hematology. Skills: Written (spelling and grammar) and oral communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills. Also mathematical, analytical and interpretive abilities are necessary. Experience: Minimum of one year as a currently active Clinical Laboratory Technologist is preferred. Adheres to confidentiality of information as stated in DeKalb Medical Center's Confidentiality Agreement policy #5517. Qualifications: Should have successfully completed a certifying examination approved by the Georgia Department of Human Resources or should be ASCP registry eligible as a medical technologist, and should meet one of the requirements listed below: 1. Job Description: Position Title:  Medical Technologist – Microbiology Company Name:  Lee Memorial Health System Location:  Cape Coral, FL 33990 Full Time - 2 positions available   This requisition represents two Microbiology vacancies at Cape Coral Hospital, and both offer a $3.00 shift differential, $5,000 sign-on bonus and $2,500 relocation (if over 100 miles from Lee Memorial Health System):   - 3:30p -2:00a, 4 day work week, alternating weekends - 10:30a -7:00p, Tuesday through Saturday   Responsible for performing microbiology laboratory testing for all patient types in a timely, efficient and accurate manner in accordance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements. Performs maintenance, quality control and quality assurance for all testing performed in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and departmental policies and procedures. Is able to prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility to meet customer and departmental needs. Actively participates in process improvement to enhance turnaround times and quality of test results utilizing decision making and troubleshooting skills. Effectively communicates and demonstrates good customer service throughout the health system to include nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers and other LMHS customers and employees.   Requirements: Three or four years of formal education or training beyond high school, or B.S. or B.A. degree. Successful completion of an accredited clinical laboratory technologist training program in accordance with the State of Florida Department of Health, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel Florida Administrative Code. State of Florida Department of Health, Medical Technologist Licensure or eligible.
