To qualify you must have an Associate’s degree, NYS Respiratory Therapist license, NBRC-RRT registration, plus extensive experience in all phases of respiratory care including five years of full-time, direct clinical experience in hospital-based, acute respiratory care with demonstrated leadership/management experience, as well as demonstrated proficiency with all standard forms of respiratory care equipment and techniques including mechanical ventilation and arterial blood gas determination. Registered Respiratory Therapist/Sleep Tech – Job number 1027100_RR00000710 Full-time, nights. This position requires an Associate’s degree, NBRC-RRT registration, RPSGT registration and NYS Respiratory Therapist licensure. Demonstrated competence in respiratory care evaluation, therapy and patient education with respect to adult, pediatric and neonatal patients is also required. This includes: assessment, airway care and management, medical gas and aerosol therapy and invasive and non-invasive ventilation of adult, pediatric and neonatal patients; administration of inhaled nitric oxide to ventilated neonatal or pediatric patients; application of high frequency jet and oscillatory ventilation to neonatal or pediatric patients; transport of neonatal or pediatric patients; and sleep diagnostics and intervention.
