Job Description: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor – Clinical Chemistry Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, College of Health Sciences The University of Delaware Newark, Delaware   We are seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Clinical Chemistry to begin Fall 2017. The successful candidate will have an earned doctoral degree, such as a Ph.D. in clinical chemistry or related biomedical science, relevant postdoctoral experience and documented productivity. Primary responsibilities for this position include teaching clinical chemistry courses, lecture and lab. Other teaching responsibilities include courses as needed in departmental undergraduate and/or graduate core curricula. The individual will be expected to develop and maintain an active, funded program of research, and participate in committee service within the university and profession. Job Description: Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital has received Magnet® recognition and is an organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the people in Chester County and the surrounding areas. The hospital includes a 257-bed complex in West Chester and several satellite locations. We offer a rewarding work environment for those who find a sense of pride and satisfaction in knowing they have contributed to providing the highest quality of patient care.   We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist with NICU experience for per diem, daytime support.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •             Develop and implement the daily plan of care, and administer clinical treatments. •             Instruct patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program. •             Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist parents as they practice exercises and developmental activities. •             Confer with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying and coordinating treatment. •             Observe patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on patients' responses and progress. •             Position patients appropriately using positioning devices. •             Maintain appropriate and timely documentation in electronic medical record for all patients treated. •             Monitor support personnel (students and volunteers). •             Participate in department operations (billing, phones, scheduling, etc.). •             Maintain Department & Health System Competencies. •             Maintain licensure and educational requirements as mandated by PA Board of Examiners.   Education, Training and Experience: •             Graduate of a Bachelor, Certificate, Master's or Doctorate degree curriculum in Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association. •             Experience in a NICU mandatory. •             Knowledge of Universal Precaution Procedures. •             Good communication and customer service skills. •             Current Pennsylvania state license required. •             CPR certification required. •             National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and Professional Association Certifications are preferred.   Penn Medicine is dedicated to our tripartite mission of providing the highest level of care to patients, conducting innovative research and educating future leaders in the field of medicine.
