We are currently seeking Physical Therapists to join Physical Therapy Section of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) of the VA New York Harbor Health Care System with 1 year experience on acute care. The Physical Therapist provides evaluation and treatment that promotes the prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic physical dysfunction based on functional goals formulated during the evaluation process.  The ideal candidate provides evaluation and treatment that promotes the prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic physical dysfunction based on functional goals formulated during the evaluation process. Graduate from a degree program in physical therapy from an approved college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The CAPTE is the only accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) to accredit entry-level physical therapy programs. NOTE: Effective, January 1, 2002, CAPTE changed its scope of accrediting activities of PT education programs to include only those programs that culminate in post-baccalaureate degrees.  We offer an attractive salary and benefits package. Job Description: Job Details -  Part Time Description                                                                                                                                                                           Jewish Child & Family Services (JCFS) provides vital, individualized, results-driven, therapeutic and supportive services for thousands of children, adults and families of all backgrounds each year. The Integrated Pediatric Interventions (IPI) department works as a team with infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental disabilities and delays and their families to grow independence and help the children reach their greatest potential. The IPI team is seeking a Physical Therapist to work directly with clients in the child's home, their community, and/or at the JCFS/IPI clinic locations. The Physical Therapist will work in a fun, energetic, and team-oriented environment in partnership with Occupational, Developmental, and Speech Therapists to implement a whole child approach to treatment.
