For people suffering from traumatic brain injuries, the road to recovery can be rocky. Patients may have complications with memory, attention, judgment or social behavior. Cognitive rehabilitation attempts to improve cognitive function through both restorative treatment and compensatory treatment.

Depending on the severity and location of brain trauma, patients may need to see different types of specialists to receive treatment. Cognitive rehabilitation jobs include speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, neuropsychologists, nurses and physiatrists. Therapy may be provided individually or in group format, and varies in intensity depending on patient needs.

Although cognitive rehabilitation jobs are most commonly found in hospitals and rehabilitation centers, other healthcare facilities may also provide cognitive rehab therapy. Qualifications vary depending on specialty, but all cognitive rehab careers require extensive post-secondary education.

No matter your specialty, you can find cognitive rehabilitation jobs with ADVANCE Healthcare Jobs. Our job board is devoted exclusively to healthcare and contains listings from all over the country. Search for jobs by title, location or employer. Visit today!
