The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will provide consultative management and treatment of acute and chronic pain including interventional spine procedurestherapy evaluation and treatments on individuals with a variety of disabilities including but not limited to; upper extremity orthopedic disorders, central and peripheral nervous system disorders, circulatory and pulmonary diseases, cognitive impairments and multisystem disease combinations.  Licensure: current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.  Education. We are currently seeking Occupational Therapists with 1 year of experience on acute care to join Physical Therapy Section of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) of the VA New York Harbor Health Care System. The Occupational Therapist Performs occupational therapy evaluation and treatments on individuals with a variety of disabilities including but not limited to; upper extremity orthopedic disorders, central and peripheral nervous system disorders, circulatory and pulmonary diseases, cognitive impairments and multisystem disease combinations.  Develops, implements, and communicates the occupational therapy intervention plan based on the evaluation, patient goals, current best evidence, and clinical reasoning.  Graduation from a degree program in occupational therapy approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or predecessor organizations to include an internship (supervised fieldwork experience required by the educational institution). The ACOTE is the only accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The Integrated Pediatric Interventions (IPI) department works as a team with infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental disabilities and delays and their families to grow independence and help the children reach their greatest potential. The IPI team is seeking a Physical Therapist to work directly with clients in the child's home, their community, and/or at the JCFS/IPI clinic locations. The Physical Therapist will work in a fun, energetic, and team-oriented environment in partnership with Occupational, Developmental, and Speech Therapists to implement a whole child approach to treatment.
