Certification is voluntary, but holding one can increase your opportunities for employment and career advancement because many clinics, hospitals and other facilities require it. It also gives you more professional credibility. And, if you’re applying for CCC speech language pathologist jobs in other states, the certification eases the process of applying for state licensure when you relocate.
