The New York Campus of the VA New Harbor Healthcare System has immediate opportunities available in this state-of-the art facility. We are currently seeking Certified Occupational Therapists Assistant to join Physical Therapy Section of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) of the VA New York Harbor Health Care System. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will provide consultative management and treatment of acute and chronic pain including interventional spine procedurestherapy evaluation and treatments on individuals with a variety of disabilities including but not limited to; upper extremity orthopedic disorders, central and peripheral nervous system disorders, circulatory and pulmonary diseases, cognitive impairments and multisystem disease combinations.  Licensure: current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.  Education. Successful completion of an associates' degree in occupational therapy from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Candidates may also be eligible to participate in the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which assists with the reduction of outstanding student loan(s).
