The New York Campus of the VA New Harbor Healthcare System has immediate opportunities available in this state-of-the art facility. We are currently seeking Physical Therapists to join Physical Therapy Section of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service (PM&RS) of the VA New York Harbor Health Care System with 1 year experience on acute care. The Physical Therapist provides evaluation and treatment that promotes the prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic physical dysfunction based on functional goals formulated during the evaluation process.  The ideal candidate provides evaluation and treatment that promotes the prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic physical dysfunction based on functional goals formulated during the evaluation process. Graduate from a degree program in physical therapy from an approved college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The CAPTE is the only accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) to accredit entry-level physical therapy programs. NOTE: Effective, January 1, 2002, CAPTE changed its scope of accrediting activities of PT education programs to include only those programs that culminate in post-baccalaureate degrees.  We offer an attractive salary and benefits package.
