We recently completed a multi-phase hospital expansion that includes new inpatient rooms, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. Additionally, Nemours duPont Pediatrics allows us to reach more children across the region through community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems.

Primary Function
The Postdoctoral Fellow will design and conduct original research for both internally and externally funded projects of interest to the Bioinformatics Laboratory. With guidance from the Associate Director of Bioinformatics and collaborateing/coordinating with the Director of Bioinformatics, the Postdoctoral Fellow is able to and encouraged to apply as Principal Investigator for externally funded grants. In addition, the Postdoctoral Fellow may assist with routine laboratory management work as requested by the Laboratory Head.

Essential Functions
  1. Develop, implement and maintain computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale omic datasets.
  2. Analyze data, produce oral and written reports, and participate in team meetings at which work will be discussed and planned.
  3. Assist the Associate Director and Director in the preparation of manuscripts and grant proposals.
  4. Develop independent research and publications consistent with the core laboratory focus.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate (6+ years of formal training/education beyond high school; e.g., PhD, MD, JD).
  • More than 6 months and up to 1 year of job-related experience.
