Job Description

The Physical Therapist (PT) will:

  • Develop and execute a treatment program which reflects an understanding of patient’s age and situation including discharge plan
  • Regularly reassess patient status and modify and revise goals, plan, or treatments as appropriate
  • Document all patient information within established time lines thoroughly, accurately and on appropriate forms
  • Orient, train and mentor staff
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Participate in program development and quality improvement activities
  • Exhibit courtesy, compassion and respect to patients, families, visitors, physicians and co-workers
Required Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist program
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in New York
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and interact with patients and families using the theories of human growth and development, family systems, and cultural background
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic skills in math and computer science
  • Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy examination, evaluation, and treatment techniques
  • Ability to perform, modify, and record all physical therapy skills
