About the Opportunity

A network of skilled nursing facilities throughout the entire state of New Jersey is looking for per diem Speech Language Therapists (SLPs) to join their rehab team. These skilled nursing facilities specialize in short-term, post-hospital rehab and long-term specialty care. We are looking for experienced therapists that can jump in to pick up a caseload and hit the ground running. Shifts are available for 3 to 4 hours per day or 6 to 8 hours per day during the week and on the weekends, depending on your availability. The SLP will work alongside OTs, PTs, COTAs and PTAs. Experience working with various conditions and with geriatrics is strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for ongoing weekend work, supplemental hours to add to their current position, or a flexible work schedule.

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will:

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders
  • Assess patient needs; plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient
  • Instruct patient/family/caregivers on patient’s total speech therapy program
  • Advise, consult and instruct members of the multi-disciplinary team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
Required Skills
  • Active New Jersey State Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Strong therapeutic skills and knowledge
