An education system in New York City is looking for a qualified, licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their staff beginning in April for 12 weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for a diligent and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to gain valuable work experience and further their career at a recognized school in the Bronx.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will:

  • Help students access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally-related activities
  • Evaluate and treat students with disabilities
  • Maintain daily progress and attendance records
  • Write progress reports
  • Attend IEP meeting
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations or assistive technology
  • Provide the best possible quality care to all students
Required Skills
  • 6+ months of Occupational Therapy experience (New graduates welcome!)
  • Active NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • CPR certification
  • Previous experience working with the Pediatric population
  • Strong therapeutic skills and knowledge
  • Patient-oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
