Job Description

The Inpatient Certified Medical Coder will be responsible for medical coding and researching coding related issues in an acute care setting.

Required Skills
  • 2+ years of Coding experience in a Hospital setting
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • RHIT / RHIA, CCS, AHIMA or CCP certification
  • Knowledge of Coding guidelines, Payor guidelines, Federal Billing guidelines
  • Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology & Disease processes
  • Knowledge of ICD-10
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Knowledgeable of 3M database
  • Microsoft Office/Suite proficient (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
